The intertwined bands of Confluence rise in the form of a double helix, an enduring symbol of both identity and life’s blueprint. The structure transforms into an allegory for neighborhood connection, honoring collective beginnings, enduring relationships, and ongoing evolution. 

Spanning each curve, dimensional crosspieces emerge from the artist’s handwritten script, formed in metal and suspended within the spiral. These textual elements correspond to the nearby stairwell poem, Mind’s Eye, visually carrying language into space. Words for home, land, and community appear in the many tongues voiced throughout Greenbridge, embodying cultural richness through sculpted calligraphy. English, Vietnamese, Khmer, Korean, Somali, Russian, and Lushootseed are represented to acknowledge histories, presence, and transformation within this vibrant, shifting population.
